Slow-Cooker Teriyaki Pork Roast with Pineapple

  • 1 red onion
  • 1 boneless pork loin roast (approx. 3 lbs.)
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Soy Vay® Island Teriyaki
  • 2 cups sliced or cubed pineapple


  • 1.
    Slice red onion into rounds.
  • 2.
    Spread half the onions on the bottom of the slow-cooker.
  • 3.
    Season the pork roast with salt and pepper and place on top of the onions.
  • 4.
    Pour the broth and Island Teriyaki sauce over the pork and cover with remaining onions.


  • 1.
    Set the slow-cooker to low and cook the pot roast for 6 hours.
  • 2.
    When the meat is ready, remove from the pan.
  • 3.
    Take a large spoon and skim the fat off the remaining sauce.
  • 4.
    Serve the pork with sliced or cubed pineapple.
  • 5.
    Spoon the sauce over top. Serve immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tweaked it a bit, but very good I’m not the biggest onion fan and only had a yellow onion at home, which typically doesn’t have as strong of flavor. I followed the instructions but made the following tweaks: 1/2 yellow onion 1 orange bell pepper - made extra broth Approx 1/4c marinade added at the end to get the flavor I wanted in the broth Thickened the broth to make gravy Even though it’s an Asian dish, mashed potatoes were a perfect pair. On a side note, this marinade, mixed with other stuff I like, is amazing for marinating salmon hand.
