Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 20-30 raw chicken wings
  • vegetable oil or shortening for frying
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 cup Soy Vay® Veri Veri Teriyaki®
  • 1 tsp. sesame seeds (for garnish)

Prep

  • 1.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper and garlic powder.
  • 2.
Roll each of the wings into the mixture until they're evenly coated.
  • 3.
Place the wings in a shallow dish or resealable plastic container, cover, and let the meat chill in the fridge for 1 hour. (Optional: After the chicken is done chilling, you can coat the wings with seasoning a second time for even more flavor.)
  • 4.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Cook

  • 1.
In a medium size saucepan, combine butter and Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce over medium heat.
  • 2.
Stir it occasionally, and cook until mixture is melted and thickens slightly; about 5 minutes.
  • 3.
Deep-fry the wings until cooked through and crispy, about 10 minutes. Make sure the meat reaches an internal temperature of at least 165°F.
  • 4.
As you finish frying the wings, add them to the saucepan and toss until evenly coated.
  • 5.
Arrange the wings on a platter and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
