Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vinegary I am Filipino and grew up eating and making adobo for many years (mostly from scratch, occasionally from powder). I saw this at Whole Foods and wanted to give it a try. The final product came looked delicious but I found the sauce to be very vinegary, almost overwhelmingly so. However, when it comes to adobo everyone has their own preferred soy/tamari to vinegar ratio. I prefer mine on the saltier side. So if you like vinegary adobo this could be a great sauce for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picky Eater Approved For the last couple years my son has refused “bone chicken“ (bone in chicken pieces). That is until I paired it with this tasty sauce. I used leg pieces and marinated for a couple hours, then threw it all in the slow cooker on high (presssd for time) for about 2-3 hours. It was Fall off the bone by that time. It was very good! the sauce has a vinegar twang mixed with a slightly black pepper and undertone.. I’ve attempted adobo before and I believe soy vay’s is better... my 5yo definitely thinks it’s better. Haha the only problem is finding it in stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like My Mom's I found this a Whole Foods. Maybe I was attracted to the caribou on the label. I have tried other adobo sauces, but this one tastes like my mom's. I use it to marinade almost everything. Vinegar, ginger, soy, garlic all in the right combination.
