The A Pollo '13 Space Mission started with a dream to take teriyaki to new heights. On October 12, 2013 Soy Vay made that dream a historic reality, by succesfully cooking a marinated chicken in space!
Get ready to take teriyaki to the next level
ALL SYSTEMS ARE GO!
With a sauce this awesome, you'll be amazed at what it can do inside, outside, or 100,000 feet above your kitchen. Which is why we went to Nashville, Tennessee for a history-making event of deliciously epic proportions.
On October 12, 2013 we poured on the awesome sauce and took to the stars in a record-setting attempt to prove, once and for all — yes, you can cook a marinated chicken in space.

THE SCIENCE OF SPACE COOKING
Part invention, part passion, and all awesome (sauce), the A Pollo '13 Space Cooker is a true wonder of culinary innovation inspired by our very own Soy Vay® bottles.
Co-designed by a team of physicists and rocket scientists (yep, the guys who send stuff to the moon!), this custom capsule was developed to withstand the sub-zero temperatures of the upper atmosphere while generating enough heat to transform a fresh (never frozen!) organic chicken into a Veri Veri® Teriyaki marinated masterpiece — slow cooked to perfection.
THE TEAM BEHIND THE DREAM
At Soy Vay® Research and Development, our crack team of scientists, physicists, and chickenists work diligently to unlock the science behind space cooking.
